If you are looking to sell your Garden Centre or Nursery and wish Alexander Mackie Associates Ltd. to handle the sale on your behalf (in a ‘Private & Confidential’ manner; if required), providing your Garden Centre or Nursery meets the following criteria:

• Freehold Only
• Minimum Land: 3 Acres (1.21 Hectares)
• Minimum Turnover: £500,000.00

we will initially arrange to visit your premises to undertake a ‘Personal Abridged Valuation’ (see our ‘Valuations’ section for further information: https://www.alexandermackie.co.uk/valuations), once we have undertaken the valuation, should you wish us to proceed, we will send you our ‘Terms of Engagement’ letter (which is straightforward and contains no small print) for you to sign and return to our offices. Once we are in receipt of this letter we will produce a comprehensive sales information brochure which we will then forward to you for your approval. Once you have approved the brochure we will begin the marketing procedure.

The marketing procedure usually takes the form of the following:

Initially we will search our extensive database to see if we can identify suitable purchasers who have already registered with us and we will send them details of your Garden Centre/Nursery.

We will add your Garden Centre/Nursery to our website, however we will not mention your Garden Centre/Nursery by name only the county of its location (see the 'Sites Available' section of our website for examples of current properties we are marketing in this manner: https://www.alexandermackie.co.uk/search). We can also add photographs if required. Our website is viewed by a substantial and ever increasing number of interested parties and is well known, both within and outside the Garden Centre and Nursery industries.

We will add your Garden Centre/Nursery to other websites we advertise on, again, not mentioning its name. These sites reach a broader audience including individuals and companies who are not within our industry.

If necessary and subject to your agreement, we will advertise in appropriate trade magazines at our discretion.

Should you wish, we can initially limit the marketing to just potentially interested parties who are already registered with us. We have previously sold a number of Garden Centres and Nurseries in this manner.

ONCE ALEXANDER MACKIE ASSOCIATES LTD. HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO SELL YOUR GARDEN CENTRE/NURSERY, ALL OF THE ABOVE MARKETING COSTS ARE BOURNE BY OUR COMPANY AND WE WILL NOT CHARGE ANY FEES UNTIL A BUYER HAS BEEN FOUND

When a buyer has been found and the transaction concludes; we charge a percentage of the sale price achieved, this fee is calculated using a sliding scale and is agreed prior to the commencement of our engagement. We can provide details of the fee percentage upon request.
